Our Projects.
During the past twenty years Macerudet has worked with the local community to found and develop projects that promote education, health care and economic development.
Holy Cross Namutenga Community Orphanage Primary School
Holy Cross Namutanga Community Orphanage Primary School is not an orphanage as the name suggests, but an educational facility for vulnerable children living in the community (many of whom have been orphaned). There are 120 pupils attending this kindergarden, day care centre and primary school aged from four to twelve years old.
Mmanze Community Secondary School
Mmanze Community Secondary School is one of the projects under Mmanze Centre for Rural Development and Training. This is one of the projects that provides quality basic education to the socially and economically needy poor students/orphans. We provide other basic needs to the students. These include provision of uniforms, clothes, medical care. At the centre we conduct trainings for the parents/guardians of the needy students. We train the parents in sustainable agriculture with emphasis put to organic farming,community based health care, rural savings and credit, home environmental sanitation small scale business.
Busaawa Mmanze Health Centre
Busaawa Mmanze Health Centre is a community health project rendering services to the population in terms health. The project was established by the community members in 1994 to provide nearby basic health services to the community of about 100,000 people.
The Centre intends to renovate and expand its premises to accommodate more patients who are poor and suffering. We are currently offering medical services under the following programs:
1- OUT PATIENTS
2- IN PATIENTS
3- HIV/AIDS COUNSELLING AND TESTING
4- MATERNITY AND ANTENATAL SERVICES
5- OUTREACH PROGRAMS
6- POST NATAL SERVICES
